The show gained its highest ratings on 20 March 1964 when it featured the Beatles being interviewed and performing their songs "It Won't Be Long", "You Can't Do That" and "Can't Buy Me Love" - the last of which was a hit at the time. RSG! USA! was a Dick Clark production in 1964. A trademark infringement ended the show after six episodes. Its last episode was broadcast on 23 December 1966.

Ready Steady Cook is a twice Logie Award-nominated Australian cookery competition show that airs on Network Ten. It is based on the original Ready Steady Cook series broadcast by the BBC. The format is owned by Endemol. The show debuted in 2005, where it was hosted by former chef Nick Stratford. It aired weekdays at 1pm. Former Nine Network personality Peter Everett took over the hosting job in January 2006 to coincide with Ten's new daytime lineup. From 2006, it has aired at 2pm. In March 2011, it was announced that Colin Lane will replace Everett from June.

The programme was hosted by Fern Britton from 1994 until 2000 when celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott became the new host. The duration of the programme was 45 minutes. The programme was originally recorded in the small Fountain TV studios in New Malden it then moved to the Capital Studios in Wandsworth. After Capital Studios closed down in mid-2008, recording was moved to Studio TC2 in the BBC Television Centre, London. On 5 November 2010, it was announced that the show would not return for a new series. No new episodes will be produced, but repeats of the show will continue to be broadcast.
